How Can I Make Sure A Predator Is Registered?

Lisa D.: I am a mother of a child who was preyed on by an internet predator. I challenged law enforcement and the DA for prosecution in this case. NO ONE wanted to do anything about this because it does not happen in our town. He was convicted, and now I need to know what I can do to make it easier for the next parent.

JW: One thing you can do is help make sure everyone knows where these creeps are. In 2006, Congress passed, and the president signed, the Adam Walsh Act, named for my son. It requires that all sex offenders register in a federal database. I can’t stress enough how important it is that we have this in place.
