Lisa D.: I am a mother of a child who was preyed on by an internet predator. I challenged law enforcement and the DA for prosecution in this case. NO ONE wanted to do anything about this because it does not happen in our town. He was convicted, and now I need to know what I can do to make it easier for the next parent.
JW: One thing you can do is help make sure everyone knows where these creeps are. In 2006, Congress passed, and the president signed, the Adam Walsh Act, named for my son. It requires that all sex offenders register in a federal database. I can’t stress enough how important it is that we have this in place. Unfortunately, Congress still hasn’t approved the funding to implement it. Get in touch with your Congressman to remind them that nothing is more important than the safety of our children, and ask them to support full funding for the Adam Walsh Act. We’ve got to make it easier for law enforcement to track down these creeps so they get put behind bars.

John Walsh, a long time ago I saw you tell me through the TV if someone has touched meonprivates to tell some one. Well I did just that, when you got done talking. You see when I was 8. My grandfather molested me. He was 6ft and at least 190lbs. He was an alcoholic and he had power over me. I never felt so dirty in my life, and I had just gotten out of the shower. I held it in and never said a word until 2 years later when I saw you saying “tell someone” on TV. Well. I did . and noone believed me. But thats not the point. You. You gave me power and strength, to say what needed to be said. Over the years I’ve only told a few people. But each time I tell someone, its not to get attention. It somehow takes away my grandfathers power over me. And I feel stronger, because of you. Thank you. Thank you so much. I’m now 25 and a mommy. And now you have that “Stranger Safety”video. And I’ve already talked with my 4yr old about privates, and told her my story. The cleaned-up version. I still can’t thank you enough. God Bless you.

i want to know why we can’t have a microchip implanted deep enough so it can’t be removed the way they can do the electronic braclets. we just had a 13 yr old raped and killed by someone from Georgia who was not registered here in Florida.I really don’t see how just being registered is helping. We need a way to put these dirtbags on an island and let them have each other. ENOUGH

John Walsh, I’m only a teen my self and i’m more scared to go far from home with out a cell phone or a friend. Because i’v heard of all the teen’s getting kidnapped and raped and i just feel unsafe. I have heard of adult’s that tell there children that most stalker’s, or rapest become friend’s with the parent’s and getting too know the child before “making the move”. Some time’s me and my older brother are home a lone and i have a safety plan kit under my bed so i know how to be safe when i’m home by my self or with my brother. I have a baby sister and i always take her for walk’s, and take her out frornt. But i do keep her very very close too me just incase of a very sick person. Some time’s i have too figth myself too tell myself that im safe. And i know when im by myself im safe. So please we need too put those sick phsyco pathic person behind bars. I do want to work on AMW cause i want to help put a very sick minded phsyco pathic person behind bars. I do plan on studying police stuff for my job. And i o wah your sh every suterday! i would like to find something out about a friend of mine because i am not fully adept about his wellbeing and would like to know the depths of his crimes, he is registered, also i would like to report that i have a family member who has been a violator against many of us and is still not registered, lives next to a school, actually within feet, and freely has a happy life……..what is wrong here?
