What Is the Legal Distance A Sex Offender Must Live From A School?

My concern is that registered offenders live by school bus stops. The children have to be at these bus stops before it is light out and many have to walk a ways to the stop, often out of sight of their homes. I have spoken with school officials about this, the transportation department and the local police department who all claim there is nothing they can do. These are the very streets Michael Devlin prowled in search of victims.

I am lucky that my childs school bus picks him up at my back door and drops him off at my front door. I think that they maybe should have school buses stopping at every block or every other block, like public transportation buses, they drive past these stops anyway.
I just wanted to also say that I am so glad there is a site where i can check to see what registered offenders live near me. I also use the site to check and see what offenders could be near where I am going on vacation or near relatives who me and my children may visit. I am thankful that this info is available, even though I think more people should be made to be on this list.

I was wondering what the law is concerning multiple sex offenders living in the same household. When I was checking the sex offender data base in my area I found several houses that contained more than one offender…one of those houses was less than a mile from my child’s school.

The bad man didn’t come on to school property again. He did show up at my crossing zone, on the non school side, but with a puppy(kid magenate) I called my Captain again. (him , his now” new wife’ and her two children ,) moved to another state.I knew these kids, I am scared to death for these two children. I’m glad I did what I did to protect the children that where mine to protect..(I love being a mother black bear.) Yet even to this day I worry about the two that are with him now.
