The new year is well underway, and one of the things I’m really looking forward to in 2008 is the continued growth of the AMW Safety Center. We’ve gotten a lot of great responses to the articles we’ve posted here since we launched the Safety Center last year. People from all over the country have been getting involved, adding tips from their own experiences on how they stay safe. We’re building a great online community of people who really want to make a difference by staying safe and preventing crime.
One of my favorite parts of the Safety Center is “Ask John Walsh”, where I have the opportunity to directly answer your questions. Over the past year, I’ve responded to questions on such topics as how to bring Code Adam to your community, what steps you can take to prevent crime in your neighborhood and what kind of information you need to have at hand if your child ever goes missing. The more you know about these important topics, the better prepared you’ll be for emergencies.

I have 3 kids. they are 5…..4….and almost 3. they run out of the house to go outside for the walk up to the bus stop and one of these days i’m afraid that i’m not going to get out there before them and something is going to happen. there was one time in walmart that my oldest ran off and i couldn’t find her anywhere. i got this sick feeling in my stomach and cried trying to find her. i finally found her back by the craft department. i went back there once before hand and couldn’t find her, and then something kept telling me like 5 mins later to go back there again and i did. i was so close to going up to the service desk for a code adam and got to thinking i better not cause then walmart or someone in walmart would probably call cps on me and didn’t want that. she’s one of those kids that’s willing to talk to anyone, even if it’s someone she doesn’t no. anyway i would like to know how to keep my 5yr old out of harms way.

mrWAlsh, several years ago, my wifes biological father molested my then 7 year old daughter, .we waited along time to prosecute him due to the fact he fled, to unknown where abouts, then finanly in 2006 he was captured in toledo ohio where we lived and charged, we went to a couple of hearings, then he was indicted by the state of ohio released on bond then once again he fled. my daughter is now 21 years old, please help us capture and put an end to my daughters nitemare she has had to live with all these years . please help us he is a white male and is known to drift across statelines just like the movie drifter. please I beg u to help us

Mr.walsh, at nighttime when i go to bed, i worry about someone prowling around my home. If they should happen to break in, what should i do about a situation like this especially if my family is in danger?

I’m soooo sooooorry about your precious son Adam. I’m sceard to ask this. I need your help. I tried to get a petition put into action but I couldn’t since I have no organization. The petition was to make it legal for the law to KILL ALL PDOPHILES! I know every normal person want’s that too. I love kids to DEATH and would sacrifice everything about me to protect them. Please I beg you what should I do? Thank you for all you do. You are a PERFECT man. I love and respect people like us. God Bless you too.

I share your feelings. A lot of us have to go through a lot of healing to overcome the aftermaths of molestation. I’ve thought this thru many times “why not just “F” cut it off. But with knowing one thing, what we have living around us is not that easy. We as a healing group talked with the people who monitored the pedophiles. I agree with them.” It is the intent of their hearts,” people could cut it off, drug them, it would not matter because in their hearts, they hate, and they want to hurt others because they have been hurt. ?!? Plus they get a “RUSH” off of others fear and pain. MR.and MRS. WALSH, I’m way scared to know the pain, horror,and fear you have suffered. Thank You for not giving up, That place in the corner under a blanket, never to face the world again, gave itself up for your justifing deeds Thank you, for you and yours.
