Lizzette Garvin, an accused con artist who’s now behind bars thanks to America’s Most Wanted, used a common trick to swindle her victims — she posed as an investigator from their bank! According to our friends at the National Consumer’s League, credit card companies and banks will sometimes contact you when they notice unusual activity on your account, but most likely, they will never need to ask for your account number or other personal information. Any legitimate investigator will understand why you’re being cautious.
Whether the caller claims to be with law enforcement or your bank, you should follow these steps:
- Be on guard.
- Never give personal security info out over the phone or by email.
- Be suspicious if a caller tries to pressure you.
- Look up the main phone number of the agency or company they claim to work for.
- Get the caller’s personal contact info.
- Call to confirm that the company or agency is legit.

hey I knew lizette since may and when I found out that she was wanted I called several states trying to find out where and nobody never knew I talked to a detective about to months ago in pittsburg and we could not seem to find her and i never knew that she have been doing this for over 20 years .I feel bad for her daughter and the baby that she is carrying right now, Because that deserve a mother who would put them in a situation where they have to grow up without a mother and a father who is only 21,and have no sense of knowing how to take care of a 2year old little girl,Because all lizette did was steal to make a life for them,It’s not Fair for the baby

to Ga 2007: U sound like u r trying to justify this womans behavior, if so, then what is the matter with you????? A thief should go to jail, she did not have to steal to take cre of her children, Ur message is unclear.

I think that any mother who puts her child in danger should go to jail. The young lady has not given the state enough reason to be able to keep her 2 year old and the inocent baby she now carries. I think she should get some kind of training while in jail so that when she gets out she can be a productive member of the state and prove she can care for her children. If she didn’t finish high school she can get her GED and some kind of trade training, that way she doesn’t have to scam hard working people. She will become a hard working person. I wish her the best, and I hope she can turn her life around. I did. 25 years of doing meth and now I’m in school getting an associates degree in paralegal
