Ask John Walsh Question Submission
TERMS AND CONDITIONS

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY. PARTICIPANT'S SUBMISSION WILL BE OWNED BY AMERICA'S MOST WANTED ("AMW").

  1. Eligibility: Ask John Walsh Question Submission (the "AJW Submission") is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and DC who are at least 13 years old. Employees of Sprint-Nextel, AMW, FOX Broadcasting Company, News America, Inc., Fox.com and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, and agents and any agencies or other companies involved in the development or execution of the AJW Submission, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee (collectively, "Promotion Entities") are not eligible. The AJW Submission is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited by law.
  2. How to Submit: There are four ways to submit a safety question during the Submission Period:
    • visit www.amw.com/askJohnWalsh and follow the links and instructions to accept the Terms & Conditions and submit a text question or video question;
    • send an e-mail to askjohnwalsh@amw.com containing a text question or video question (max size 10MB) - you will receive a reply message with a link to the online Terms & Conditions which you must accept by following the instructions before your submission is finalized;
    • capture a video question on any video-capable wireless phone and e-mail the video to askjohnwalsh@amw.com - you will receive a reply message with a link to the online Terms & Conditions which you must accept by following the instructions before your submission is finalized; and
    • Text a question to JOHN (5646) from any Sprint-Nextel wireless phone (standard text-messaging rates apply, see your rate plan for details) - you will receive a reply message with a URL for the online Terms & Conditions which you must accept by following the instructions before your submission is finalized.
  3. Content: Any eligible submitted text or video question ("Question") may be featured in an AMW Broadcast and/or on the AMW Website. Questions must follow the following guidelines to be eligible:
    • Question cannot be disparaging or libelous towards any person;
    • Question cannot include obscene or profane language or be controversial or offensive in nature;
    • Question cannot be derogatory towards or critical of the America's Most Wanted, the AMW Website, John Walsh, Sprint-Nextel, program producers or FOX;
    • Question must be submitted in English and no more than 500 characters in length (subject to additional applicable character limitations for wireless submissions).
  4. Additional Terms: By entering, each participant represents and warrants that the Question that he/she submits, including without limitation any and all text, video and music contained therein:
    • Is his/her own original work;
    • Does not infringe on any other person's or entity's rights, including, without limitation, contractual rights, rights of publicity or privacy, trademark, copyright, or patent rights; and
    • Has not been submitted previously by participant (or, to the best of participant's knowledge, by any other person) in a promotion of any kind.

    Questions may be modified by AMW to correct grammar, spelling, punctuation or tone. Each participant may submit multiple Questions. Each Question will be considered a work-made-for-hire for AMW, meaning that each Question will be owned exclusively by AMW. AMW will have the right, but not the obligation, to use the Question for any and all purposes in any manner and in any medium, whether now known or hereafter devised, anywhere in the world, including, but not limited to, the unrestricted right to alter, revise, change, arrange, rearrange, edit and adapt each Question, in whole or in part, without attribution or compensation to the participant, his or her successors or assigns, or any other entity. SUBMISSION OF A QUESTION IN THIS AJW SUBMISSION CONSTITUTES PARTICIPANT'S IRREVOCABLE ASSIGNMENT, CONVEYANCE, AND TRANSFERENCE TO AMW OF ALL RIGHT, TITLE, AND INTEREST IN THE QUESTION, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ALL COPYRIGHTS.

    By submitting a Question, participants agree to release and indemnify the Promotion Entities from any and all liability from injury, loss or damage of any kind resulting from participation in this Promotion.

    Each Question must not be inappropriate, offensive, indecent or obscene, as determined by AMW in its sole discretion, in which case, AMW will disqualify the Question. Proof of submission or sending is not proof of receipt by AMW. Each Question becomes the exclusive property of AMW, and may not be acknowledged or returned. AMW is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible, or misdirected Questions which are void.

  5. Selection: AMW, at its sole and absolute discretion, will select the questions to be answered by John Walsh and featured in an AMW Broadcast and/or on the AMW Website.
  6. Publicity: Except where prohibited, participation in the AJW Submission constitutes participant's irrevocable consent for AMW and AMW's designees to verbally mention and to otherwise use participant's voice, likeness, first name, last initial and hometown during an AMW Broadcast or to have such information posted on the AMW Website without any payment or further consideration.
  7. Additional Documents: Participants submitting video material may be required to complete and sign or facilitate the signature of additional documents in order for their Question to be eligible to be selected.
